“A spectacular and immersive work by Emma Smith that reflects on our past, present and future predictions”
“A rich performance embedded in the history of Parker’s Piece and its local communities”
The performance will include:
– A large scale installation centered around the Futurarum cave from which you are invited to collect a future prediction
– A dramatic performance with actors playing the roles of the Pythia, a gaggle of Wise Women and The Interpreters
– Music by world renowned musicians the Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments and Barnaby Brown
– Ice-cream flavours reflecting the menus of the feasts that took place on Parker’s Piece in 1814 and 1838
The installation will also be open to the public 11:00 – 16:00 Sunday 8th and Monday 9th October.
There will not be live performances during these hours but you will be able to visit the Futurarum to collect a prediction.
